Financial Aid Options to Consider During Your Enrollment Process

Federal Grants and Loans

Begin the financial aid process by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Let us know if you have questions. We are happy to help.

You may qualify for a grant, or a subsidized or unsubsidized loan from the government. Some students also qualify for a Parent PLUS loan from the government.
General information about federally-funded grants and loans:

The Pell Grant is financial aid that does not have to be repaid, except under certain circumstances. To qualify for a Pell Grant, a student must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA® form.
Federal subsidized loans are available to undergraduate students with financial need. The federal government will pay the interest on the loan while you are in school. Interest will begin accruing when you cease full-time enrollment. You must start making regular payments six months after you are finished with school.
Federal unsubsidized loans are available for students to borrow for additional education costs. Interest payments begin immediately after the loan is fully disbursed or may be added to the principal balance. You begin making regular payments six months after you are finished with school.
Federal Parent PLUS Loans for undergraduate students provide additional funds for parents to help pay for students’ educational expenses. They can be combined with other financial aid resources and cannot exceed the student’s cost of education. Repayment of the loan begins immediately after the loan is fully disbursed.

Career Schools & Colleges Resources for Students
The Texas Workforce Commission offers some resources for students, which you may find helpful in your search for financial aid.

Private Loans
Some students may benefit from applying for a private education loan from a bank or other financial institution.

Scholarships
Private organizations, such as Beauty Changes Lives, may be offering a scholarship that applies to your beauty education plans. Take some time to research and apply for beauty school scholarships. Usually, these scholarships provide money that you do not have to pay back.
Natural Images Beauty College does not offer in-school scholarships at this time.

TFC Credit Corporation Tuition Loan
Natural Images Beauty College offers TFC Credit Corporation for tuition financing. Pay a down payment at the start of school, and then make regular monthly payments during training.

Who can apply for federal financial aid?

Most U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens with a high school diploma or GED can apply for federal financial aid. Your eligibility is based on several factors, such as financial need, enrollment status, and whether or not you meet the general eligibility requirements outlined by the U.S. Department of Education.

Can I qualify for financial aid if I am enrolling as a part-time student?

Yes, full-time and part-time students may both qualify for financial aid. Some types of financial aid require a certain number of enrollment hours.
